So, what’s in a kit?
The Smaller than a Breadbox kit,
which will create a minimum of six pages, is made up of three unique,
individual page kits. You will receive coordinating cardstock, patterned paper
and a sampling of embellishments. To help get a jump on creativity you’ll get
access to an online newsletter, which you can print or save to your files for
future reference and a Recipe Card (aka sketch). Each full-color newsletter
contains layouts made using the current month’s kits and a layout based on
that month’s Recipe
Card.
The Bigger than a Breadbox kit
will allow you to create a minimum of eight pages. This kit differs from
the Smaller kit only in the amount of product you receive. You get more; more
paper and more embellishments. You still get coordinating cardstock and patterned
paper and great embellishments plus the newsletter and recipe card to
help when Scrapper’s Block strikes.
A few times a year, be on the lookout for “The Kitchen Sink” kits. These kits will
be all inclusive kits that will contain a small album and enough coordinating
papers and embellishments to complete the album.
Can I get the All Year Cheer Card Kit on AutoShip?
You sure can! Simply email us for more information on getting an account set up (admin@apronstringsdesigns.com).
What is a member?
A member is someone who has chosen to register with us to receive a kit on a monthly
basis, automatically. Their credit card is charged once a month followed by
shipping the current, registered kit out to them. All they do is wait for the
mail-person to delivery their kit.
How do I sign up?
There are two ways to sign-up for Apron Strings AutoShip:
- The first way is to simply purchase either the current month’s kit at
the AutoShip price or a past kit that offers an AutoShip price.
(*Note: once a kit has been moved to the sale section (Table Scraps) in
The Pantry the AutoShip price no longer applies and the purchase of these
kits will not enroll you in an AutoShip membership.)
- The second way, if don’t wish to purchase a kit upon sign-up is:
- Click on “My
Account” and create a new account with a login, password and
your shipping information.
- Next go to “Preferences” (under
My Account) to enter your credit card information
(credit card number, expiration date and 3-digit code from the back
of the card)
- Finally, go to “AutoShip” and
select the kit size you’d like to receive monthly.
When do you bill?
We bill on the 9th of the month.
When do ship your kits?
We start shipping on the 12th of the month , unless the 12th falls over a weekend or
US holiday, then we ship the next available business day. We ship via the United
States Postal Service’s Priority Mail (in the US) or Global Priority Mail (outside
the US).
Do you have a referral program?
Certainly! Our AutoShip members will receive one Cookie Jar Treat (scrapbooking
treats) for every five friends they refer. You need to be sure that
your friend(s) enters your full name in the given field at checkout. This
function is not available when you simply sign-up for AutoShip, without
purchasing a kit at the AutoShip price (see above,) however, simply email
us and let us know who referred you and we’ll make a note so that your
friend gets credit.
Does membership have its rewards?
- First, you’re guaranteed a kit. There may be times when a kit will
sell out before you’re able to purchase one individually.
- Second, members enjoy a discount off the regular price of the kit.
- Third, you’ll receive a sneak taste of the upcoming
kit in your newsletter. Additionally, you will have two
weeks to preview the complete kit before it’s available for sale.
- Fourth, you are able to skip any month, without penalty, by simply logging
into your account and selecting “skip
this month.” You need to opt-out before the 8th of the month to
avoid billing and shipping of the upcoming kit
- Fifth, members can purchase additional items from the site to be shipped
with their kits without incurring additional shipping charges. *Additional
items need to be purchased prior to the 9th of the month
in order to be included with the that month’s shipment. Items purchased
after the 9th will be included with the next month’s shipment. Please
note: you must complete the check-out process to receive your additional
items, as your cart is emptied when you leave the site.
(*If the weight of your package excessively exceeds
the cost paid for shipping, we reserve the right to automatically
charge your credit card to cover all or some of the additional shipping costs.)
- Earn Scrapbook Rewards. There are two ways to earn: First, we have
a Limited Edition page kit that you will receive after the
purchase of your 6th autoshipped monthly kit. This limited edition kit
will rotate often, so there's always something new to look forward to
when you reach a new 6-month increment. Second, we'll recognize members
who have accumulated $250*, or more, in purchases by sending them a coupon
code to use with their next add-on purchase. *Cumulative
total of items excluding shipping and taxes; includes monthly autoshipments.
- Finally, members can collect referrals towards a free
“Cookie Jar Treat;” for every five referrals you receive one
free treat.
Can I select the size kit I want to receive as a member?
The kit you register for is the kit that will ship every month; however,
you can change your kit preference for one month or permanently,
if you wish. To do so simply:
- Log-in to your account under “My Account”
- Click on the “AutoShip” tab
- Select “Cancel AutoShip”, which will stop your current selection
- Finally, select the kit size you’d like to switch to (you don’t need to
log out and log back in to make this change.)
For example: if you prefer the Smaller than a Breadbox kit you will
choose this upon your initial AutoShip registration. A month comes
around where you just love the Bigger than a Breadbox kit. First cancel
that subscription and then re-enroll selecting the Bigger kit for your
AutoShip choice. **To be sure your change is in place before billing runs,
please have any changes made by the morning of the 8th of the month. **
Can autoship members get more than one kit a month?
Yes. There are two ways to do this.
First, if you are a current autoship member who would like to register to receive
both kits every month, please contact us
for details.
Second, if you are a current autoship member who already receives one kit a month,
but would like to add the other kit on a given month (because you just have to have
it all) again, please contact us prior
to purchasing to be sure you receive your additional kit at the autoship member price.
Do I have to be a member to buy a kit?
No. You can buy any available kit you wish, outright, without having to be a member.
However, members will receive a substantial discount on their monthly kits. Previous
kits, when available, can be found under “past kits.”
Can I purchase a kit at the autoship price without being an autoship member?
No. If you are a returning non-autoship customer or a new customer who has
not signed up for autoship, you can purchase a kit at the autoship price
before signing up to be an autoship member. However, by adding an autoship
kit to your cart you will be obliged to register as an autoship member, following
the guidelines of membership. Therefore you will begin receiving one kit
automatically per month, with billing occurring on the 9th. Please review the
above "What is a Member?" question for more information.
How can I cancel my membership?
In your member’s account there is a place to cancel your autoshipment. You must
cancel
your membership prior to the 8th to avoid receiving the next month’s kit.
What if my kit is damaged?
Email us immediately and we will arrange for an exchange of new product
as soon as possible.
If I don’t like my kit, can I send it back?
Although we believe you will enjoy every kit, we understand there
may be a time you need to return one. In the event of a return you will
need to contact Apron Strings for a return authorization number prior
to sending it back. The complete contents of the shipment must be returned
unused and unopened, within 5 days of receipt. Because we offer a preview
of our kit for 2 weeks prior to shipping, we ask that our AutoShip members
take advantage of our unlimited, penalty-free "skip" option if they decide
the kit is not for them. This will avoid having to pay additional
shipping charges for returns. In the event of a return, you will be given
a credit to be used toward the purchase of a future kit. Shipping charges
are non-refundable.
Can I purchase a kit(s) as a gift?
Certainly! You can make it a one-time gift or purchase as many months
as you’d like to send. You can pay monthly or all at once. There are
several ways to make a purchase as a gift:

Create an account yourself by doing the following:
- Click on “My Account,” create an account, and then login
- Click on “Preferences” and fill in your billing address, credit card
information, and the recipient’s shipping address.
- Click on “Auto Ship” and select a kit.
- Email us at admin@apronstringsdesigns.com to
let us know how many months you’d like to send and we’ll take care of
the rest, including sending a card in their first shipment.

Purchase any kit from the site
- Add a kit, or any other item, to your cart and proceed through checkout.
- Be sure to input the recipient’s shipping address.
- Include a notation in the Shipping Notes section stating that this is
a gift and we’ll include a card with your shipment.
